Dr. Scoble has over four decades in academic, administrative and consultant roles. Fall 2021, after 18 years, Dr. Scoble retired as Dean of the School of Nursing for Elms College, a Catholic College in Western Massachusetts. During her tenure leading the Elms School of Nursing, the Nursing Program grew from one baccalaureate program with 100 students to nearly 500 nursing students currently enrolled in the 12 programs that now comprise the School of Nursing. These programs include undergraduate, RN degree completion, masters and Doctor of Nursing Practice. The School of Nursing consistently ranked among the Top 10 Nursing Schools in the state.
Dr. Scoble has previously held faculty appointments at Teachers College, Columbia University and the University of MA Boston; and several administrative positions in acute care organizations ranging from manager to chief nurse executive. Recognized for her leadership in nursing, Dr. Scoble has served as president of the MA Association of Colleges of Nursing, a founding member of the Western MA Nursing Collaborative, a regional coalition of nurse education and service leaders focused on the local nursing workforce; and several state-level nursing committees. Dr. Scoble currently serves as a trustee for Baystate Health Board of Trustees, the largest health system in Western MA; and is recognized as the first nurse to serve on this board.
Dr. Scoble received her nursing diploma from St. Vincent’s Hospital, Ohio; her B.S.N. from Madonna College in Michigan; double masters in both Nursing Administration and Education from Columbia University, Teachers College and Doctorate in Education from Columbia University, Teachers College, Department of Nursing Administration and Education.
