Marie F. Romagnano, MSN, RN, CCM has over 30 years experience in catastrophic injury nursing medical case management. This specialization has given her a broad background of relevant emergency situations that are encountered by nurses and other healthcare professionals when faced with death and dying situations. Finding that a majority of nurses were never trained in the spiritual assessment of a patient, she authored a book Nursing with the Hands of Jesus: A Guide to Nurses for Divine Mercy that is a concise guide to the spiritual care of the patient, published by Marian Press.
In 2020 and 2021, she taught the Spiritual Care of the Patient at Elms School of Nursing, College of Our Lady of the Elms. She is an MSN graduate of College of Our Lady of the Elms.
In response to the terrorist bombings on September 11, 2001, she founded the Healthcare Professionals for Divine Mercy that is incorporated into the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception and is in its 17th year of producing a major conference: Medicine, Bioethics and Spirituality that examines current medical and bioethical events. The conference carries full academic credit for continuing education for nursing, physicians, social workers, pastoral care and other healthcare disciplines.
She was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre.
